This type of equipment can be situated after the cyclones, constituting a resolution alternative between these and the bag houses. Regarding the latter, they have the advantage of occupying less space and be more economic.

These devices work by passing the particle laden gas through a venturi tube, where it is put in contact with a liquid shower that retains the particles and produce the desired separation.
The system then is conducted to a cyclonic separator, where the phases are separated, the clean gas is eliminated to the atmosphere and the mud is re-circulated.
