It is a simple and easily operable equipment. It has a low thermal efficiency in compared to with the different available arrangements.
It is not recommended for products with high fat and sugar contents and its technological conditions, it does not allow the obtention of different physical and chemical characteristics in the final product.
En el diagrama se observan sus principales elementos constitutivos.

One stage
Two stages
Three stages
With washable filters
Equipment of more complexity and better thermal efficiency with respect to the one stage arrangement.
It can be designed with atomizer disc or nozzle and the incorporation of the external fluid bed, together with the fines rejection system allows condition variation in search of different physical chemical properties in the final product.
At the same time the external fluid bed enables the agglomeration as well as the product cooling, achieving optimum product temperatures for its packaging.

It is the spray drier arrangement with best thermal efficiency, able to handle products of high fat and sugar content.
It can be designed with disc or nozzle or even both systems of atomization.
The incorporation of the static fluid bed gives to the system the possibility of obtaining dehydrated products at optimum temperatures for its later packaging. It is worth mentioning that the static fluid bed also allows establishing granulometrical properties appropriate for the type of raw material to be processed.

The addition of washable filters can be done with any of the previously described arrangements, the advantage lies in the elimination of losses, which otherwise would be sent to the atmosphere when operating with cyclones.
The product that is discharged via filters maintains its characteristics, what allowing the re-incorporation of the same to the system. In this way, the losses of product are practically void, determining a considerable increase in the efficiency of the equipment.
This system generates less pressure drop in comparison to the conventional systems and consequently power required is reduced for the functioning of the equipment.
