ESPAQFE Ingeniería is supplier of various type driers and within them the use of flash driers is advised for determined products.
The experience that the enterprise has together with the support of pilot plant tests determines finally what type of drier must be used according to the characteristics of the product, initial investment and operative costs.
Numerous raw materials that can be pneumatically transported are dried while in suspension due to the fact that hot air is used as drying agent as well.
Dryers of this type are made of vertical tubes, where the raw material, either granular or finely triturated, is dried by means of an ascending current of gas or hot air current.
The air is sucked through a fan and previously heated in direct or indirect heaters according to the product to be processed. Hot air is directed towards the vertical pipe, with a suitable speed to generate pneumatic transportation of the wet feed.
The vertical tube has variations in its section, determining in this way, speed differences between the product and the drying air. This effect causes an increase in the drying speed, due to the turbulence generated and the increase in the residence time.
The intimate contact between the hot air and the product causes an optimum heat and mass transfer. This transfer is also improved by design conditions that produce a helicoidal trajectory of the particles.
Once the product reaches the end of the vertical pipe it is separated from the air, by means of high efficiency cyclones. It is worth mentioning that when the product to be processed has a high moisture or linked water content, it can be recirculated in order to obtain the final required humidity.

These continuous flow equipment, are very well adapted to treatment of heat sensitive products, due to its short drying times.
It is important to determine the physical and chemical characteristics of each product, in order to establish the thermal and diffusional obstacles present during drying.
Our equipment has the following advantages:
Low power consumption
Minimum personnel requirement.
Easy operation
Minimum physical space necessary, with the option of its outdoors installation reducing costs in civil works.
